How To Get There

Directions

Marahau is the gateway to the Abel Tasman national park and is situated at the southern entrance. To get to Marahau from Nelson you take a right turn after Richmond south of Nelson (State Highway 60). That will take you through Motueka before heading onwards to Marahau. Motueka is a great place to stock up on your supplies as Marahau has limited shops.

There are two routes to get to Marahau, the quickestway is via the Marahau Hill, alternatively you can go via Kaiteriteri beach which is an extra 15min drive but will show you a taste tester of the golden sand Abel Tasman has to offer.
