This hostel is made with love and you can feel it. The two owners are super friendly, very kiwi and always available for a quick chat or a joke. There is a movie night every in a little cinema. The common area is great to hang out and meet new people. Beds are nice and give you some privacy.
Top notch! The guys running the show are super warm, welcoming, and helpful – they honestly couldn’t do more to make you feel right at home. The place is kept really clean, and the free shuttle bus made getting there so easy. Great location, less than a 5 min walk to the beach, and they have a CINEMA!!! Loved my time here
Probably the favourite hostel we’ve stayed at yet, ended staying double the time we planned. Such a nice vibe and top owners, thank you for having us so long!
Really comfy beds with plug sockets and a light by each one. 700 metres from the entrance to National Park. Nightly movie screenings in the cinema room was really nice – get in there early to get the reclining armchairs and blankets! Popcorn also sold. A ‘food truck’ selling breakfast and dinners. Recommend going to a supermarket before getting to Marahau as there is not one there! Would definitely stay here again.
manager is super friendly and welcoming and did free drop offs and pick ups for us. hostel had a nice cosy environment with a fire place, yet the best part was definitely the cinema room which had 1000s of films to chose from with bean bags and chairs that recline and popcorn- was nice to have a change from such noisy and basic backpacker hostels we had previously been staying in. loved it :))
The bearded guy running the place was so awesome and helpful. Place is wicked and location is perfect. Atmosphere is good and such a chill environment.
My stay at Adventure Inn was short but extremely sweet. The place has great facilities and character, is in a stunning location seconds from the beach (perfect for seeing sunset) and Emma was the most welcoming and helpful host. Especially enjoyed the cinema room where different films are screened each night. Amazing value for money and would definitely recommend!
If you are keen for a different sort of experience, this is the spot for you! You’ll be sleeping and showering in a shipping container just after you’ve finished watching a movie in the cinema and showing under the contemporary snd squeaky clean rainfall showers. It’s all true and made for an amazing experience, especially after a 7 hour hike! The value for money is spot on with his hostel, and I would highly recommend it for any weary traveler.
Stayed here earlier in the year and can’t recommend this place more! By far the best accommodation we stayed in on our tour of New Zealand. Great facilities, plenty of space and the local area is incredible. Greg was a fantastic host and helped us with arranging water taxis and kayaks. Make sure to stay a few days and get into the national park and local beaches.
Amazing hostel! Greg is such a good host, so helpful and kind. The cinema room is amazing and the hostel has a real homely feel. Location is right next to Abel Tasman National Park and it is easy to get into the park on foot, by kayak or water taxi. Would 100% recommend!
