ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! I rarely leave reviews, but this place truly deserves one. Tucked away down a beautiful driveway, Adventure in Marahau is a surprisingly large hostel that contains amazing gardens, fire pits, barbeques, dart boards, pool tables, a bus cafe and even a HUGE CINEMA you can use any time you like. Whether you are looking to chill by the fire in one of the cosy living rooms, or sit outside and have beers and a BBQ around a large fire pit – Greg (owner) and the team will do their very best to set everything up for you to make it a perfect stay. As soon as you arrive you feel like you are being welcomed into the family. Greg is like a big brother that is hilarious to hang out with and always has your best interest at heart. Bessie the “guard” dog will keep you safe and loves a good cuddle. The other staff are equally as accommodating and just want everyone to chill and have a nice time. This friendly atmosphere is contagious and all the guests I met were equally as welcoming! The hostel is right next to Abel Tasman national park and any the shops, bars, taxi or kayak rental places are within a 10 minute walk. The beds are very cosy with big duvets and your own light & charging points! Kitchen is stocked with everything you need and the showers are spacious and always hot. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Cheers gang!!
